It Might Get Hot In Here










Today was open house for Gemological Institute students up from Carlsbad. Once a year the refinery opens up for GIA students and select invited guests. So we did some actual gold refining for them, melted the gold and made some rings and stuff. Porn for pyros? Maybe...

I any case all the above photography is by Donna Ballard, not myself. I was running the 7D in HD video, I hope to post some of that after some editing. BTW, I'd like to thank the students that came up. You guys (and ladies) were great to have in the house. If you are at all typical of what the future holds, all will be well with the industry of gold and gems.
