This is one of the photographs taken on my latest professional assignment from The MJSA Journal. The October issue features an article of how jewelers find out the value of their scrap precious metals. This is the last shot taken that day. An 1800 degree oven. Each tiny crucible hold a bit of gold, wrapped in lead foil. I just had to share this image with the general public via this blog. Why should jewelers have all the fun?
